The Teeters Family

This story of giving is from ROBIN G TEETERS

We chose to support a cause near to Jillian's heart, The Hamilton County Commission on Women and Girls. The Commission does not receive any governmental funding and is run entirely by volunteers. It was formed to give women a seat at the decision-making table, a powerful platform to help turn rhetoric into action. When women don't have a seat at the table, it is difficult to accomplish things like: achieving pay equity and employment opportunities across genders, having more women in leadership positions, and ensuring women and girls' health and safety. As one of the 30 appointed members of the Commission, Jillian is working towards improving the availability of menstrual supplies to underprivileged girls in Cincinnati Public Schools. Access to supplies increases self-confidence, as well as, school attendance and achievement. They are also involved in planning the local celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child which takes place on October 11th.
